Which therapist can see me online?

Meg Bearman, LPC/MHSP, ATRGeorgia and Tennessee
Seema Sharma, Pre-Licensed Professional, MA; supervised by Randi Williams, LPC, CPCSGeorgia only

Both clinicians work with adults ages 18 and older and with couples. For couples appointments, tell us where each partner will be located and ask which online arrangements are available. A clinician’s service area does not mean every format is appropriate for every situation.

Why does my physical location matter?

When you inquire, tell us where you will actually be during appointments. A home address in Georgia or Tennessee does not automatically establish eligibility while you are traveling elsewhere. If your location changes, discuss it before the session rather than assuming an existing appointment can proceed.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services explains that cross-state telehealth rules vary and that providers should verify a patient’s location. We use the clinician-specific availability above when discussing online care; ask us before booking from another state.

What can online sessions address?

Our practice works with concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. The consultation is a chance to discuss your goals and whether an online format fits the support you need.

Online therapy may be convenient when travel to the office is difficult, but the setting still matters. Think about whether you can speak freely, maintain a reliable connection, and give the appointment your attention. If those conditions are hard to arrange, bring that up so you can discuss options.

How should I prepare?

  • Choose a private place where you can speak without being overheard or interrupted.
  • Have a charged device, a reliable internet connection, and headphones if useful.
  • Ask which platform to use and how the practice will provide joining instructions.
  • Confirm the appointment time and time zone, especially when coordinating between Georgia and Tennessee.
  • Ask what to do if the connection drops and which contact method to use.
  • Tell your clinician about travel or a change in location before the appointment.

Do not attend while driving. If you are concerned about privacy where you live, discuss that before booking; headphones alone do not make a shared space private.

Does the free consultation happen online?

The free introductory consultation lasts 20 minutes and is offered by phone or video. It is an opportunity to discuss fit and logistics before a paid intake appointment. Read what to expect at your first therapy appointment for the difference between the consultation and ongoing therapy.

Are the fees different for online therapy?

Review current appointments and fees and confirm the rate and session length for the clinician and format you choose. Do not assume that an online appointment has a different price or qualifies for reimbursement. The practice is out of network; the costs and insurance guide explains what to ask your plan.

Can I choose in-person therapy instead?

Our only physical office is at 32 Lenox Pointe NE, Atlanta, GA 30324. Ask about current appointment availability and the format that fits your needs. If you are deciding between clinicians, compare Meg and Seema.
