Trauma intensives

Meg Bearman offers trauma intensives in Georgia for adults seeking a focused period of trauma therapy. Intensives can include a combination of psychodynamic verbal processing, trauma psycho-education, art therapy, and Brainspotting. Intensives take place over the course of 1–3 days and are tailored to each individual.

What to expect

An intensive creates dedicated time to explore how past experiences affect your present life. Work may focus on understanding your responses, practicing coping skills, and developing a stronger sense of choice and self-understanding. Goals, pace, and approaches are tailored to you; outcomes vary, and an intensive is not a promise of resolving trauma within a set number of days.

Is an intensive a good fit?

A concentrated format may appeal to people who want dedicated time for this work. It is not the right format for everyone. Before scheduling, discuss your goals, current support, and readiness with Meg so you can decide together whether an intensive or ongoing therapy is more appropriate.

How do I prepare?

Start with a consultation. Ask about the daily schedule, breaks, preparation, and support after the intensive. The program spans 1–3 days, but your individual plan and the amount of session time should be agreed before you book. If you already work with another therapist, discuss how an intensive could fit with your ongoing care.

What does it cost?

Pricing and dates depend on the individual plan. Contact the practice for current availability and a fee explanation before making arrangements. The regular-session rates on our appointments and fees page should not be assumed to cover an intensive.
